A celebration of Chuck’s life will be held on Saturday, June 7th, at 3:00 p.m. at New Hope Sanctuary, located at 1028 East 8th Street. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and honor of Chuck’s life, love, and legacy.
Charles “Chuck” Daugaard, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, June 2, 2025, in Duluth, Minnesota.
Born on July 10, 1964, in Duluth, Chuck was the youngest son of Robert and Delores (Isaacson) Daugaard. He grew up in Rice Lake Township and graduated from Central High School in 1982.
He had his first date with the love of his life, Rebecca Wehmanen, on September 10, 1985, and he proudly married her on September 10, 1988. Together, they enjoyed 41 years of love and partnership, being blessed to find love in every season of life.
Chuck faced many challenges throughout his life, including a courageous battle with addiction. Yet, his journey was marked by resilience, hope, and an unwavering commitment to his family and sobriety. Those who knew him saw beyond his struggles—they saw a man full of life, capable of deep love, and always striving for better. He taught his children the value of hard work and the importance of loving with your whole heart. His kindness, strength, and sense of humor touched everyone he met, and his mother took great pride in the generous and devoted man he became.
Chuck was preceded in death by his father, Robert Daugaard, and his sister, Deborah Bradeth.
He is survived by his mother, Delores Daugaard; his beloved wife, Rebecca Daugaard and their three children: Kayla, Robert, and Sabrina Daugaard. Chris and Thomas Daugaard, and Barb (Daugaard) Laakso. Grandchildren, Raya, Brighton, Lila, Rowan, Victoria, Jamison, Vali, and Charlie. He also leaves behind his nieces, nephews, and many friends.
