Barbara Bentley Getty passed away peacefully on October 3rd , 2019 at age 73. She was born on July 11, 1946 in Houghton Michigan to E. Judson and Mary Bentley. She attended grade school in Duluth and graduated from William Kelly High School in Silver Bay, MN. Barb went on to graduate from St. Scholastica with a teaching degree, majoring in art. She taught in WI and in MI. for a short time; and later spent much of her life in Duluth. She was a resident of Bay Shore Health Center during her last two years.
She is survived by her sister, Nancy (Bentley) Huber, brother, Stephen Bentley, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews, and her very close friend, Caroline, friend Judy, and the many people who have seen and loved her beautiful art work. She will be missed by those who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
There will be no service and she will be buried next to her parents in Upper Michigan.
