We are looking for the following positions:

Funeral Director – must hold an active license in MN (WI is also desirable as we are a border town) Ability to lift, attention to detail, and desire to serve the families entrusted to our care are paramount. On call will be divided among active funeral directors. Duluth is a wonderful community in northern Minnesota, we serve a large region covering northern Minnesota and western Wisconsin. Independently owned, this position is an opportunity for you to grow in your own fashion as a funeral director, and to be a part of a growing business and leave your mark. What you bring to the table will be rewarded accordingly.

Administrative assistant –  Office staff responsible for the daily interaction of our customers, answering phones and having a physical presence in the office from 9am – 4pm, monday through friday. Attention to detail in paperwork is critical, politeness and empathy serving the families, and timely responses to questions, requests for information, etc. Production of memorial service material and merchandise and processing of files requires a can do attitude and basic problem solving skills.

Part time removal assistants – This person would act as a second pair of hands on removals (picking people up) and would assist the funeral director in transporting the deceased from the place of death to the mortuary. This is an on-call position, no set hours. Ideally there would be a list of ten people available since the timing is usually the middle of the night, holidays, your kids birthday, etc. Ability to lift 100 lbs comfortably and carry individuals short distances a requirement, and on rare occasions, a strong stomach. Compensation provided for each removal performed.
