Harold 'Mickey' Munson
January 16, 1945 - December 27, 2018
Memorial Service will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, January 13th, 2019 at Mission Covenant Church in Poplar, WI.
Harold “Mickey” Munson, 73, of Poplar, died Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center, Duluth. He was born January 16, 1945, son of Harold “Mike” Joseph and Luella Marion Munson.
Mickey worked in the forest industry as a pulp cutter and he also worked as a long haul truck driver. The work he loved most though was his time as a caregiver for disabled adults. He enjoyed the time spent with his clients. More recently working concessions with his close friend Nels.
He had a variety of hobbies including woodworking and hobby farming, as well as hunting and fishing. Most of all he enjoyed the time spent with his family and friends, they meant the world to him.
Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Stanley and Joseph.
Survivors include his wife Donnajean Hursh, with whom he shared a special love; His son, Harold “Joe” (Janet) Munson-Bex; daughters Sara Pearson and Nellie Taylor. stepsons Clyde (Patricia) Hursh, Bert (Katy) Hursh, and Robert (Laura) Hursh; stepdaughter, Kathy (Randy) Ronchi; as well as 17 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren; His sisters, Dorothy (Daniel) Bergsten, Arlene (John) Martin, and several nieces and nephews. And his special puppy companion Suzie.
Memorial Service will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, January 13th, 2019 at Mission Covenant Church in Poplar, WI.
Family will have a private graveside service at a later date in the Resthaven Cemetery in Cloverland, WI.
