Jerry A Jenkins

After a 3 year battle with cancer, Jerrold “Jerry” Alan Jenkins passed away peacefully Monday November 25th at St. Ann’s Residence in Duluth, MN. Jerry was born July 14th, 1963 in Chicago, IL. the 3rd child of Robert “Bob” Jenkins Sr & Nancy (Brown) Jenkins. He grew up and went to school in the Deer River, MN area (Inger). He completed a stint in the US Army and following discharge married Rosalind (Sam). They had one son, Davin Jenkins. He lived and worked in Kansas City area for a period in the 1990s before returning to Duluth. After his return, he was an over the road truck driver and also hauled grain from western MN & ND to Duluth.

He is survived by children Jerrald Jenkins of Minneapolis, Odessa Jenkins, and Davin Jenkins, both of Duluth, stepchildren Amy & Andrea Miller, mother Nancy Dudley of Duluth, brother Bob Jenkins Jr of Duluth, Mike Jenkins of Duluth and several grandchildren, nephews and neices. Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Rosalind, infant son Desmond, Jerrald, Odessa & Desmond’s mother Cheryl DeFoe, grandson Jaybez Bellanger, father Bob Jenkins Sr, sister Beverly Jean Jenkins, maternal grandmother Ruth “Dolly” (Command) Johnson & step grandfather James “Jimmy” Johnson, paternal grandmother Jane “Jenny” (Fairbanks) Jenkins.

At his his request, there will no services. His ashes will scattered at a later date, per his instructions. Cremation services provided by Affordable Cremation & Burial of Duluth, MN
