Bonnie L Nelson

Bonnie (Farness) Nelson, 74, passed from this world to the heavenly one on November 1, 2024 at Essentia hospital in Duluth with her family by her side.

Bonnie was born to Lawrence T. and Zola (Southerton) Farness on April 13, 1950. She graduated from Denfeld High School in 1968 and attended Lake Superior college and graduated as an LPN. She found her true calling as a home health aide and always looked at her patients as her own family and worked in that field until she retired.

In 1985, she met her loving husband, Jack Nelson, and they had 38 wonderful years of marriage. Bonnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was the kind of person who made friends everywhere she went. She was so trusting of everyone and always accepted everyone for who they were. She will be so dearly missed.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Zola Farness. Surviving her is her loving husband Jack Nelson and her daughter, Lisa (Ceryes) Atkinson and her husband Holland and their two daughters Aleksa and Elena. Her stepchildren, Vicki (Troy) Small and son Tanner. Dan Nelson (Jessica and Ashley), Matt (Jill) Nelson and children Austin, Samantha, Jackson and Lucas. Her sister Cindy (Jerome) Sapik and their children Nathan (Angie) Sapik and Andrea (Chuck) Pattee and their children.

The family will be having a private service in the spring.
