Robert "Butch" Brown (76) passed away on October 7, 2024 at Essentia Health Hospital. He graduated from Northwestern High School in 1967. He then went on to graduate from School of Vocational, Technical, and Adult Education in Rice Lake, WI as a machinist. He had a love for the outdoors, horseback riding, racing horses, fishing and hunting. He was a race car driver in his younger years and an avid NASCAR fan. He loved spending time working on his vehicles, working in the garage, making model cars, taking things apart, riding his four wheeler, and watching the birds out of his living room window. He loved telling stories about his life and always had a smile on his face and never complained even at the end of his life. Butch worked various jobs until his motor vehicle accident in 1981 which resulted in an amputation of his left leg and 3rd degree burns throughout his whole body. Butch is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Nellie, brothers Ken, Mike and Wesley, brother in law Chuck Miller and his longtime girlfriend Michelle O'Neil. He is survived by his daughter Kelly Gravening, grandson Tyler (Samantha Gravening), 2 great grandchildren, Alessi and Triton. Sisters, Patrica Miller, Peggy (Dan) Woodhull, nieces and nephews. Michelle's daughters, Kelli Rai Miller and Erin Rogge, Michelle’s grandchildren, James, Tylar Rai, Tana Jo Ward, Jayden and Nathan Rogge along with good friends and neighbors. The night Butch passed away, the Northern Lights were dancing across the skies letting Kelly and Tyler know that he was happy, pain free and had both of his legs again. Please remember to listen to the stories, take the time to look at the skies and treasure the times with your loved ones.
