Jerome Ernest Bjerklien, 85, entered into the blissful eternal realm on September 13, 2021.
Born in Duluth, MN, Joe grew up primarily in Superior, WI. Later, Joe served in the US Air Force during 1953 and 1957 and then in the Army Reserve for six years. Joe had a variety of occupations ranging from being an Orderly at St. Luke’s in his 20s to being a Warehouse Manager in Reno to being a Mental Health Worker in Concord, NH. He is preceded in death by his sister, Cora (Bjerklien) Hubert of Texas. He is survived by his two children, David (Lori) Bjerklien of NW Wisconsin and Shana (Jon) Broberg of Central Wisconsin. He has six beautiful grandchildren and six precious great grandchildren. Known by his children by the nickname “Big Boy” and to his grands as “Papa Joe”, many pictures were taken to ensure fond memories for years to come. His unique wit, fun character and good heart will be greatly missed.
We love you Papa Joe!
A small private gathering by the family will celebrate his life and his internment will be at the Spooner Veteran’s Memorial.
