Kay Ann Styniski
February 7, 1959 – February 11, 2026
Kay Ann Styniski, 67, of Duluth, passed away on February 11, 2026, after a long and
courageous battle with illness.
Kay was born on February 7, 1959, and grew up in the area, graduating from Proctor High
School. A woman with a nurturing spirit, she dedicated much of her life to others as a child
care provider, touching the lives of many children and families with her patience and care.
Known for her kind heart and sharp sense of humor, Kay was someone who could always find a
reason to smile. She was a passionate sports fan who never missed a chance to cheer on her
favorite teams; she was an avid supporter of Bulldog Hockey and Minnesota Vikings
football, bringing that same “hometown pride” to everything she did.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Marceline Styniski; her brother,
Barton; her sisters, Bonita and Theresa; and her nephew, Bart.
She is survived by her sister, Larayne (Jerry) Liston, and a loving group of nieces and
nephews: Robert Taylor, Misty Wick, Matt Styniski, Myles Styniski, Edward Styniski,
Angela Liberatore, Sam Gilbertson, Joe Hulett, Andy Hulett, Dayin Liston, and Patrick
Liston.

Her memory will also be cherished by her extended family and many dear friends.
