Annette Horowitz

February 2, 1936 - March 3, 2025

Annette Horowitz, 89, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2025 at Diamond Willow Lester Park in Duluth, MN.

Annette was born on February 2, 1936 to Sam and Essie Feldman in Detroit, MI, where she grew up and raised her family. As a child she loved attending summer camp at Camp Tamakwa in Ontario, where she especially enjoyed going on extended canoe trips in the Canadian wilderness. As an adult she was an avid golfer, playing in women’s leagues and even winning local golf tournaments. Her greatest pride and joy were her children and grandchildren, and she was affectionately called “Grandma Bubbie” by them all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Essie Feldman, daughter Julie Hopp, son Jeffrey Hopp, and her husband David Horowitz.

She is survived by her son Gary (Michele DeNoble) Hopp, daughter in law Paola Hopp, and four grandchildren: Sarah Hopp, Maggie Hopp, Ian Hopp, and Isaak Hopp.

A private ceremony and burial will be held at the MN State Veteran’s Cemetery in Saginaw, MN on Friday, March 7 at 1pm.
