Thomas F. Tomsich (77) of Ely passed away on March 27, 2015 at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, MN after suffering a pulmonary embolism and an aggressive T-cell lymphoma.
Tom, who served in the U.S. Army, was an exceptional brother and uncle, a highly intelligent and gifted man with a gentle, quiet, compassionate and generous spirit who loved nature and animals and will be lovingly cherished and deeply missed by his family and friends.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Agnes Tomsich.
He is survived by his brother Franklin (Judy) Tomsich of Hemlock, MI, sister Nancy Flynn of Meadowlands, MN, sister Florence Strickland of Ely, niece Kate Kalan of Shoreview, MN, nephews John Thomas (Kay) Flynn of Edwardsville, IL, Chief Master Sgt. (retired) Frank Tomsich Jr. of Hemlock, MI, Steve (Debbie) Tomsich of Sanford, MI, Michael (Lisa) Tomsich of Midland, MI, numerous grand nieces and nephews, cousins and cat Callie.
