Stephen Kyle Parrott 67, of Duluth Minnesota passed away Sunday December 7, 2014. He was born August 20, 1947 to Bernard and Cathleen (Little) Parrott in Pontiac Michigan. Steve grew up in Clarkston Michigan and graduated from Clarkston High School. He attended Northern Michigan University and then Ferris State University. He graduated from Ferris State University with a business degree. Upon graduation he took a job with the State of Michigan as an Economic Analyst. In 1974 he moved to North West Minnesota and lived off the land near the Mississippi River until 1990 when he moved to Duluth. He retired from Holiday Inn the beginning of 2013 due to health complications. He worked at Holiday Inn for nearly 12 years and enjoyed his Holiday Inn “Family”. He was a loving father and grandpa. He enjoyed cooking, literature, movies, music, and baseball. He also enjoyed playing cribbage and having lively conversations about current events. Steve is survived by his daughter Megan(Bill) Wentela; Granddaughter Sarah Wentela; 4 siblings Jon(Julia) Parrott, Mark(Julianne) Parrott, Linda Bartnik, and Tom Parrott. A very special Thank you to my Dad’s Holiday Inn Family for their care and support. A memorial to Celebrate Steve’s Life is being planned for the Spring.
