Mark “Burt” Burton Brinkman, age 54, peacefully passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2014 with his wife, Sue, and family by his side. He fought his battle against (GBM), brain cancer, with great courage, strength and always a SMILE.

Mark was born in Virginia, Minnesota on July 10, 1960. He was a 1978 graduate of Virginia High School. He married the love of his life, Sue Ramponi on August 14, 2004. He took great pride in volunteer driving for St. Louis County for 14 years and extending a helping hand to any of his special “peeps” whenever possible. Burt had a great love of the outdoors, travel and dogs. In fact, he was fondly referred to as the “dog whisperer”, as he never met a dog he didn’t like or that didn’t love him. His greatest loves of his life were his family and friends and spending time with them.

He kept in touch with many dear friends from “the day” and often reached out  on Facebook. If he saw you out and about, he was the kind of guy to make time for you with a smile, a hug, a story and a laugh or two. He’d often part by saying,  “I love ya, Bro…” , “Peace Out”. And the peace sign.

Mark is survived by his wife Sue; mother Sharon (C. Robert) Anderson, father Duane (Nona) Brinkman; three brothers Paul (Kathy), Dave, Steve (Kim);sister-in-law Debbie (Tony) Pettinelli; brother-in-laws Jeff (Dawn) Ramponi, Mike (Jennifer) Ramponi; mother-in-law Marcia Norlander, father-in-law,Richard Ramponi; nieces and nephews, Adam, Rachel, Dylan, Heather, Evan, Ethan, Hailey Brinkman, Amanda, Matthew Pettinelli, Jessica Estenson, Justine Slygh, Courtney Ramponi, Sage Johnson, Lucca Ramponi; Special Friends; Dave & Cyndy Cuoco; and many extended family and many, many friends.
