Margaret H Stenborg Thompson
October 22, 1919 - March 2, 2014
Margaret H. Stenborg, 94, died Sunday March 2, 2014 at St. Luke’s Hospice in Duluth. She was born October 22, 1919 to Henry and Helga Thompson in Twig, Minnesota.
Margaret loved the farm she grew up on in Twig. She often shared memories of the one room school house she attended. At 17, she relocated to Duluth for employment. Shortly after, she met Franklin Stenborg on a trolley car and it was love at first sight. They were married and had two children, Wayne and Linda.
She was an excellent homemaker who loved entertaining family and friends with her delicious cooking and baking. Margaret was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She had a deep faith that continued throughout her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother and four sisters.
She is survived by her children Wayne (Kathy) Stenborg of California, Linda (David) Osborne of Duluth; one grandchild Sanya Sandahl of Minneapolis and one sister Harriet Nyen of Duluth; many nieces and nephews. She will be missed and fondly remembered by all.
