John B. Swetland, 82, died Thursday April 5, 2018. He was born February 21, 1936 to George and Alice (Okonek) Swetland and grew up in the town of Spooner, Wisconsin.
He entered the US Air Force, serving for twenty years retiring as a Master Sergeant. John lived in Spain for many years with his family.
John was a humble man who loved his family dearly and possessed a boundless creativity and enjoyed many past times. He will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by; his parents, five siblings; sisters: Alice “Betty”, Ruth and Patricia and brothers: Theodore and William.
John is survived by; his loving wife of 58 years, Angela; son John, daughter Angela, daughter Mary (Andrew) Mayer; two grandchildren, Sofia and John and many nieces and nephews.
