David Alan Johnson,70, of Cloquet Mn, passed away July 9, 2018 at Essentia Health, Duluth , Mn following a long illness. Born Sept 30, 1947 in Bismarck, North Dakota. Graduated from the Grand Marais high school in 1965. He enlisted in the army and spent 3 years in Stuttgart, Germany.He attended UMD, Duluth, Mn and received a bachelor of science degree in medical technology from UWS, superior, Wi.Dave worked at Miller-Dawn hospital and later as lab manager at the Ely Bloomenson hosp, Ely,Mn and Cloquet hospital. He is survived by; sisters Beryl Knudsen, Duluth, Mn and Ruby Mortenson, St Louis park, Mn.; Sons Aaron (Beth) Johnson, Ocala, Fl and Ryan (Sara) Johnson, Ft Wayne, Indiana.Grandchildren,Caleb, twins Elayna and Dominic, and Zach all of Ocala,Fl.Ex- wife, Mary(ken) Bauer, Birchwood, Wi. Many will remember Dave as the zamboni driver at “the barn” hockey arena A private family memorial was held.
