Carol Ann Wek (Crosby) joyfully lived her entire 82 years of life in Duluth. She was born to Vera and Joseph Crosby, and spent most of her youth and young adult years in Woodland, where she worked as a soda girl at Falks Pharmacy. She attended the University of Minnesota-Duluth, where she graduated with a dual degree in Home Economics and Business, and where she met her husband, Robert. Carol and Bob married in 1957, and recently celebrated 60 wonderful years of love and laughter. They raised their three children enjoying family activities such as camping, skating, skiing and boating.

Carol was a creative and talented homemaker who loved baking, quilting, sewing, antiquing and decorating. She spent 20 years as a Head Start teacher in Duluth, where she brought that same creativity and talent to her classroom. Upon retiring, she and Bob travelled around the U.S., and spent happy days relaxing, socializing and golfing with friends and family at their cabin in Lake Minnesuing, Wisconsin.

Carol is survived by her husband Robert, brother Timothy Crosby, daughters Melinda and Roberta, and son Brian, as well as grandchildren Jack and Carolyn. Services will be held Tuesday, November 7, at 11 a.m. at Concordia Lutheran Church, 2501 Woodland Avenue. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to the American Diabetes Foundation (407 E 3rd St, Duluth, MN 55805), the American Cancer Society (130 W Superior St # 200, Duluth, MN 55802) or Concordia Lutheran Church (2501 Woodland Ave, Duluth, MN 55803). The family would particularly like to thank Essentia Hospice for all their care in the recent weeks.
