Laurie Ann Swader, 57, of Superior, passed away after a brave struggle with colon cancer Wednesday November 26, 2014. She was born July 6, 1957 to Howard and Janet (Gundhus) Durham in Superior, Wisconsin.
Laurie graduated from Superior High School and Duluth Business University, and worked for many years for Fond Du Luth Casino. She enjoyed computer games of all kinds, and had a strong spirit. Laurie’s sweet disposition will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Laurie is survived by; her daughter Rachel (Bob) Knudsen; grandson Alan Knudsen; ex-husband Rick Swader; three siblings, sister Jill Watsula, sister Erin Durham, brother Sandy Durham; extended family and friends; and grand-puppy Titus.
A Celebration of Laurie’s Life will be held 12:30 P.M. Friday, December 5, 2014 at the Billings Park Community Center, 3903 N 18th, Superior WI. Services by Affordable Cremation & Burial, 218-491-7011, affordableduluth.com.
