Robert Downs, 70, passed away peacefully in his wife’s arms at home, Monday November 3, 2014 in Duluth. He was born June 30, 1944 in Hibbing, Minnesota.
Bob and Linda were together for 22 years and renewed their marriage vows in 2005
Bob served in the Army during the Vietnam War with the 198th Light Infantry Brigade in DaNang. He was a patriot, and very proud of his service. Bob worked at Amsoil until his retirement.
He is preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Bernice; sister Marlene Koutsoyan, brother Ronnie; his dog and best buddy Shadow.
Robert is survived by his loving wife Linda; Bob has two children from a previous marriage, daughter Natalie (Tyler) Hunt of Arroyo Grande, CA, son Shane (Loni) Downs; grandchildren Hannah and Christian Hunt, Vincent, Summer, Harley, and Chevy; sisters Ardis (Floyd) Weiler, Sharon Barnard, Sandra (Bob) Ehle, brothers John (Dinah), Donald; sister-in-law Carolyn Downs; childhood friend Ed Anstett; extended family and many friends.
Bob was very loved he will be truly missed
