Jean M. Koski, 79, of Duluth, passed away peacefully Saturday September 6, 2014. She was born February 5, 1935 to Cuthbert and Catherine (Hanlon) Dolan in Tomahawk, Wisconsin.
Jean attended school in Duluth, and held various jobs, lastly in retail sales. She was united in marriage to Stanley Koski August 31, 1957. Together they raised three kids, living in St. Paul briefly before returning to Duluth in 1966.
Jean enjoyed gardening, and live music shows. She had a strong faith in the Lord, and volunteered at St. Mary’s in the adoration chapel and in the gift shop. Jean loved children, and was a great judge of character. Her keen sense of humor and kindness will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings Lloyd, James, John, Billy, Irene, Evelyn, Katherine, Colleen, Violet, Norman and Norma.
Jean is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Stan; daughter Carol (Steve) Simonson, two sons Michael (Ness) Koski, and William (Holly) Koski; many nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.
A Memorial Mass will be held 2:00 pm, Friday September 12, 2014 at St. Mary’s Star of the Sea, 325 E 3rd St., Duluth. Visitation at 1:00 pm and a reception afterwards, services by Affordable Cremation & Burial, (218) 491-7011, affordableduluth.com.
