Visitation will be held at the United Protestant Church in Silver Bay, MN on Tuesday December 22, 2015 at 1 p.m. with funeral services to follow at 2 p.m. at the church.

Guss Lawrence Krake of Silver Bay, MN, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at the age of 80.
Guss was born to parents Guss Sr. and May A. Krake on June 20, 1935 in Minneapolis, MN, the youngest of three brothers. Guss graduated from Edina High School in 1953, and earned both Bachelors and Masters of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. He also served in the United States Naval Reserve for eight years. Guss was married to Kathleen Elizabeth Krake on November 23, 1963 in Santa Clara, CA, who survives.
Guss retired after a thirty-nine year career with research, product development, project management, technical program management, and engineering department management experience at a variety of organizations, including the University of Minnesota Electrical Engineering Department, Data Card Corporation, Seagate Technology, Cricket Engineering, MRM Elgin, and MOCON Inc. Guss was active in church as a Sunday school teacher, usher, and treasurer.
Guss is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law Keith and Pam Krake; daughter and son-in-law Kara and Ryan Skogg; granddaughter Sara Krake; grandson and granddaughter-in-law Sean and Allison Krake; granddaughters Annika Skogg and Chloe Skogg; and great grandson William Krake.
